REDSKINS' INTEREST

RAVENS' INTEREST

They need safety help because they have just three on the roster. Death of Sean Taylor turned a position of strength into one of need, though the young duo of LaRon Landry and Reed Doughty held up admirably down the stretch. The Redskins have plenty of young cornerbacks, though it remains to be seen how soon all can contribute. The Ravens are strong in the secondary with Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle at corner and Ed Reed and Dawan Landry at safety. They could use some younger help at those positions though, especially at cornerback. McAlister will be 31 when the season starts, and Rolle, who was injured most of last season, will turn 32.
