The District's Beach Drive NW will remain closed from Porter Street south to where the road becomes the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway for at least two days, the U.S. Park Police said today. Officials said that crews must clear mud and other debris from the roadway and that excess rainwater from last night's storms must evaporate before the stretch reopens.
